If you have a denture on the upper or lower that is loose fitting or does not cooperate when talking or eating, then an overdenture may be the right option for you! Two or more implants are placed in the jaw and following a healing period of approximately three months, the denture is fitted to the implants and “snaps” onto them giving greater retention, stability and comfort. This is called an overdenture – when a denture is specially designed to snap or connect onto the implants. It can be removed each evening and cleaned and then replaced as if it were a regular denture.
