Dan Drake, DDS, MICOI

Dr. Drake was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo College for his undergraduate work and University of Michigan Dental School.


During his childhood, he enjoyed the Florida weather and outdoor activities and was determined to make the Sunshine State his future home. In 2008, following dental school graduation, he accepted a position here in Ormond Beach, Florida. For years he has been offering comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry. Additionally, he is well known for IV Sedation allowing patients to "sleep" while they have their dental work done. He uses state of the art dental implants and surgery techniques. Additionally, he uses CAD-CAM crown technology giving patients the option for same day crowns.


Dr. Drake and his staff are proud to be a team that offers the very best in comfortable, modern dentistry.

I am ecstatic about the opportunity to be a hygienist and contribute and be a part of such a wonderful dental team! When I’m not at work I love spending my free time outdoors with my two beautiful girls. Zara my 3 year old staffy pup and Shiloe my 20 year old Siamese kitty. Life is an adventure with them!

In my spare time I enjoy paddleboarding, reading, and spending time with family.

I have been practicing dental hygiene in Volusia county since 1991 when I moved here from Connecticut. I have been lucky enough to work  with Dr. Drake since 2017. I have been married  for over 30 years and have two beautiful daughters and a crazy dog Josie! When not at  work you will find me with my husband on our boat fishing. Our favorite pass time!

I was born and raised in Florida and have been in the dental field since 2013. I have been married for almost 20 years and have two amazing daughters that keep me busy outside of work. In my spare time I love hanging out at the beach with my family and at home with my animals. This office has been my work home since 2013 and we are truly a family.

I have been an assistant since 2006 and have been with Dr. Drake since 2009. I love working with this awesome dental team and our amazing patients. In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, exploring trails, photography, traveling and going to Disney with my husband. I’m an animal lover and particularly fond of dachshunds. We enjoy having our 2 beautiful nieces in our lives.

and raised in Florida. I’ve been married for 30 years with
3 amazing children. In my free time I love spending time with

Dr. Edward Lancaster III, DMD FAGD

Dr. Drake would like to welcome Dr. Edward Lancaster III DMD FAGD to his practice.


Dr. Lancaster comes with over 30 years of clinical experience; with high reviews at Heathrow Family Dental attesting to his competent clinical skills and caring chair-side manner.


Dr Lancaster graduated from The Citadel and served in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard a destroyer out of San Diego CA. He left active service to attend he Medical University of SC, College of Dental Medicine on a US Army scholarship, where he graduated in top 10% of his class. He completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Ft Carson CO; then served as a clinical dentist at Fort Bragg NC; attaining the rank of Major before leaving active duty for private practice.


Over the next 26 years, Dr Lancaster owned 4 dental practices in 3 different states. He obtained his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry after 500 units of continuing education in a 5-year period, and a 2 day peer-reviewed written test.


Dr Lancaster took a 2- year sabbatical in 2014 and moved his family to Botswana, where he worked as a commercial pilot/mechanic for a missionary organization: fulfilling a lifelong dream of being a bush pilot in Africa. He and his family repatriated to central Florida where he just recently sold his practice to move to the beach and slow down a bit.
